Operating Agreements
Creating an operating agreement between Co-Founders is an important task. To help you get started, we have put together a list of resources you can use to build your first draft agreement. These should not be used “as is”. We strongly recommend taking your draft to a lawyer for review and finalizing the agreements. Starting with a template helps Co-Founders have difficult discussions and document their agreements. This speeds up the process and is often a much more cost effective way to work with a lawyer.
Note: These documents are for businesses filing a LLC. Corporations are much more complex and we recommend starting with a lawyer on this entity type. They will help with shared stock agreements, by laws, and other governance documentation.
LLC Operating Agreement
We put together some of our favorite clauses and options into a template you can use as a basis for your final agreement. This document has multiple options to choose from built into it.

This company provides a standardized template that can be used but we highly recommend taking it to a lawyer before signing. You want to get this agreement right!
